I like the style of your interview style,...Hi Jim,<br /><br />I like the style of your interview style, and obviously it works for you. I believe that discovering whether someone is a team player is one of the most critical parts of interviewing - and it's something I continue to be challenged by. You're absolutely right not to ask someone directly if they're a team player - we all know the answer we're supposed to give. But, many of the elements you've mentioned here don't explore whether someone will be good at collaborating with others - a shared passion for example only shows that they have things they care about, not that they work work on a project they are passionate about with others!<br /><br />It's a tough area and I don't see an easy solution to it in the interview process - but what's your take?<br /><br />Steve Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
